Your statement was based on false information.
1. A lot more American soldiers died fighting Germany than fighting Japan. Japan was not America's number 1 enemy in WW2.
2. At the time some people suggested putting all Japanese, German and Italian Americans into interment camps. American government, lead by President Teddy Roosevelt, believed those of European descent could be trusted, thus crossed German and Italian Americans off the list.
3. Those Japanese Americans were born in America, they were American citizens, not Japanese citizens. They have pledged allegiance to America, not Japan. They hated Japanese government for the attack on Pearl Harbor just like all other Americans. But America betrayed them.
