I have a co-work recently invovle such a issue with the company as well, so I know a little about it.
1. Check your employee handboook or company policy to see what it is said.
2. Generally, most company will OWN the patent no matter what.
3. However, company has to file the patent with the inventors name. If you have evidence(data recording sheets, notebook pages, proposal, memo, etc), to prove you are the inventor/co-inventor of the patent, the company has to add your name on it.
4. I am not sure if you will be able to get monetary benefits from this. This depends on the policy.
