It's an old model but works well. The Olympus people do not recommend Ni-Cd cells, but Ni-MH cells are all right.
Li-ion battery are powerful and durable to my experience.
Make sure you have enough battery power in camera when you are transfering image from camera to PC!! Or XD card is likely damaged.
