please do not keep adding conditions... otherwise, why do not you name your problem as "guess what I am thinking"? ...

For example, you can put sometthing in the middle of the paper so that the people cannot touch each other. e.g., put the paper under a doorway. Close the door. Now your friend steps onto it from outside, you from inside. Of course you cannot touch each other.
