But I didn't have any experience on Malibu I4. The more I see the the Malibu 2.2L 4cly, the more I feel it is like the the one on Caviliar or Sunfire which is known as noisy.
I can tell you the new 3.5L V6 engine Malibu LS, LT or MAXX is really fun. It gives you 200hp@5100rpm. GM rates its engine at drive wheel.
Here are some info of this new engine. Many next generation GM vehicles are already or will be equiped with this engine.
1, Pontiac suv featured mini Van Montana sv6 & Chev. uplander
2, Pontiac G6
This is a very effective engine. Usually I drive in Highway/local combination, I get 8.2-8.6L/100km fuel cost. One time took a long highway trip at 7.8l/100km.
Absolutely beat Camry V63.0L though rated with higher Horsepower.Sitting in the car with the engine on it is quiet just like at home. Auto/stick transmission. Life time maintenance free transmission fluid and timing chain. Electrical power steeling ,you can turn you steeling wheel with your small finger never need to worry about pw steeling fluid leakage.
