US Citizens, American passport holders do not need visas to enter and visit more than half the world's nations, countries or territories


By February 2012, there were about 300 nations, countries or territories in the world. Some require most or all visitors to apply for a visa before entering, like China, India, Russia, Brazil and Nigeria. However, American citizens can enter at least 160 places without having a visa in their US passport.
