Hi,

 

Someone I know has colon/bladder/rectal cancer (doctor’s not sure about its exact location) and the tumor keeps growing. Chemo did not help. Too big to operate. Too weak to eat much so lost a lot of weight.

 

Patient was eating WAPF and practiced yoga regularly. In good health before this showed up suddenly.

 

Besides avoiding sugar, any ideas how to stop the tumor from growing?

Hi 

 

So sorry they are going through that.  Yes, of course, there is cutting sugar.  Along with that, cutting grains and sugary fruits like mangoes, bananas, even oranges.  Adding a good amount of turmeric, as well as cayenne pepper can help.  A good nutrient dense, high calorie, low glucose meal would be a pureed stew/soup with tomatoes, lentils, some greens, cooked in beef broth, with coconut cream and some salt, turmeric and cayenne pepper combines the nutrients and calories, as well as the benefits of turmeric and cayenne pepper.  Tasty even if not pureed, but pureeing makes it easier to digest.  

 

Also, I've been hearing a lot about the supplement, curcumin.  

 

Doctor's also try to place cancer patients on protein or meal replacement shakes and those are full of either sugar or artificial sweeteners.  We all know that neither sugar or artificial sweets are good for us, yet, when people are tired and sick, they will try whatever the doc says to try and make it better.  But, since sugars feed tumors, it's like covering a wound with sandpaper--yeah, it's covered, but is it making things worse? So if they are doing those drinks as a temporary fix, a supply of nutrient dense low or no glucose soups would help make getting nutrition easier.
