请教：Genetic counseling/ testing

请教懂医的各位，一年一次的Mammogram和pelvic ultrasound是不是不够？我应该去做genetic testing？有了解这个genetic counseling/ testing大概是怎样的?本人奔5，已更，家族中有得卵巢癌已去世多年.以下是我的妇科医生发给我的邮件。想听听懂医的网友们的见解。谢谢了。

Your ultrasound was unchanged from last year- you still have a benign 1.3 cm cyst on your left ovary and fibroids on your uterus. Your right ovary was not seen but that is good news because it means it is small. I 'd like you to reconsider the genetic counseling- not only will they offer you genetic testing for ovarian cancer, they also will help me determine if you need more frequent imaging to screen both for ovarian and breast cancer (breast cancer is often associated with the family history of ovarian cancer.) Let me know what you think and I will put in the referral.
