As Betadine said, BNP is not a specific parameter for heart failure, and I agree. It has no much meaning in a dialysis patient. It just shows the ventricle is some how overloaded. As long as more water filtered out via kidney, it will come down. To find out heart failure, doctor would do ECHO.
Metoprolol is a beta blocker, and which I used to take for hypertension. It also can be used to slow down the heart rate.
SO far, I haven't seen any big problem. Just keep close to the doctors, do not hesitate to discuss any of your concern. They are trained to keep medical ethics...
