My First Running Injury--ITBS

I had this last year when biking--pain in the left outer knee.
Yesterday, after some very sweet miles, my left knee and hip started to hurt.

It's called the iliotibial band friction syndrome.
I'll take a rest for three days before resuming running.
Meanwhile, I'll do some exercise to strengthen the gluteus medius muscle.

One good thing: I learned a dozen new words and became informed in this particular problem ;-)
