Child Ankle Pain

Yesterday my 11 years old child complained ankle pain, only the outside of left ankle, what is wrong? Pain occurs only while walking or rotating the foot. There is no swollen or bruise, I am wondering if the pain will be gone after rest. Should we make doctor visit?
