at that size, I will need radiotherapy.
My case is pretty complicated. First they thought it was a cyst (ultrasound, mamogram), I requested to remove it, and they removed the cyst wall by surgery, the removed tissue at that time is 1.5cm, and it turned out to be IDC. After that I did MRI, MRI estimated the tumor was about 2cm. Doctor cut out about 4cm during lumpectomy, and the pathology reports showed the tumor size is about 3.5cm and margin is not clear.
So doctor added 1.5+3.5=5cm, and she think radiotherapy is probably necessary.
All the above experience made me feel not very trustful. Can MRI estimation so much different than pathology reports? Will it be tricky and hard to do pathology reports? The first time and sencond time pathology reports are all done by the same pathologist, and I am wondering if pathologist is prone to errors/misdiagnosis?
Thank you very much
