孩子毕竟是孩子。需要有人以不同的方式(包括以身作则)告诉他们什么是对什么是错,对他们的要求是什么。。。。
The key is NOT to force them to get into an Ivy school but to live to the full extend of God given talents and resources available to them. Also, it is very important to teach them the social responsibilities they have to carry. I guess this is call family values?
Each kid is precious and unique in his or her way. It is the parents' responsibility to find their talent and groom them to be a productive citizen. And that, may I add, does not mean must go to Ivy schools.
I always tell my kid that be happy with themselves and who they are...As long as they have tried and done their best, then they do not need to be afraid of letting me down. In fact, I would be happy to have a happy kid who is a plumber than a doctor who hates his job. By the way, a plumber makes just as good money as a doctor statistically... :-)
