Thank you 小谋, 南京之友, and Xuexing! I read every one of your posts and the links you provided. I need to check with my cousin about whether it is HER2-overexpressing cancer. But I would assume that it is, and that's why the doctors in Tongji recommended the medicine along with her Chemotherapy.
I can try to talk with a Chinese doctor who practice in the U.S. to write the description for me, so I can order trastuzumab (Herceptin)from pharmacy. But even if I could get them, I still could not transport them to China. The drug has to be put in 2-8 degree cooler or fridge. I can not mail them, nor can I carry them on flight at the current security level. If the trastuzumab (Herceptin) costs $3,000 per shot, it is not much cheaper than buying from China. Therefore, sending her some cash probably works better.
Again, thanks for all your help and research! I just wanted to know if I have done as much as I could to help her.
