I read your post again. I think the best thing to do is to take your daughter back the pediatrician to have a complete check up. Many reasons can cause fever. She doesn't seem to have ear infection yesterday. Maybe there is some new finding tomorrow, who knows? The doctors are trained to use a comprehensive differential diagnosis to find the real cause. Blindly listening to someone online or just visiting some medical journal online are equally dangerous.

Finally, you should never listen to some out-of-work doctor of traditional Chinese medicine and visit some “伤寒论坛” for possible infection. In my opinion, 中医are not better than any crooks who sell cocaine or any fortune-tellers standing at the street corner trying scam money from people. They have no idea about infection or how to treat it. They don't even know what bacteria are. For their selfish financial gain, they can say any kind of shit to get your money. You need to watch out for those people.
