My child is 5, started ~6 months ago.

1. When she is learning or working on a piece, does she look at the book or look at her hands most of the time?
[A] Initially looks at book, later when he memorized the music he offten looks at hand.

2. Is she asked to memorize a piece ASAP?
[A] No one asks him to memorize any piece. But He did memorize each and every piece of music he played after a while.

3. What were her starting materials? I mean what books the teacher let her use at the beginning stage of her studying.
[A] 'Teaching Little Fingers To Play' by John Thompson
