The story you mentioned her is totally different from what you did. The story here you neighbor's kids went into your property without talking to you first (although you did not mind at all) and of course she felt it was more appropriate to send in a card. In your case, you simply called her for an invitation. There was no invasion of privacy, nor trespassing.
