These reports are bullshit, but Chinese parents love them

American education system is very different from that of China's. It is not an easy adaption for Chinese students to fit in US Colleges. For example, Chinese students can get a full score in TOFEL test, but most of them have no ideas about the rhectorical tones of an essay. They may know the word "blonde", but they don't know what a smart blonde is. They can tell us the dictionary definitions of "crash", but they don't know what it means for a teenager. They may admire Michael Jackson, but they don't know who Rachel Carson is. It will take time for Chinese student to fit in, but most of them don't have enough time to achieve that. Thanks to their strong math skills, most of them can survive, but we cannot expect most of them shine.
