No school bus is a big issue. Also, elementary schools are start earlier and end earlier. I had a friend who kept doing that for 5 years. Her kids had to get up around 6:20am, and she had to get there around 2:30pm to pick up them.
They had carpool plan since there are several students in our neighborhood went there.
