My S wanted to have a new flute for a while because the old flute is a used one. The private teacher suggested me to buy this concert flute. This flute will be for life time.

I understood your concerns. I've hold on to not buy the new flute for about one year since the teacher suggested one year back. I told the teacher that I am not sure if my S will do good job on playing flute or not.

If both teacher and your S wanted to buy the new flute, you may wan to go for it.
