1) What is the impact of AI on Consulting Industry?
Already used widely for data collection and general analysis, which are entry level jobs. Will increase no doubt but nobody can say how much for sure yet.
2) What the potential exist strategies of your child? I learned that most of them leave after 2-3 years.
Yes most of them leave after 2-3 years to corp strategy, finance, program management, HF etc. even HR. It should be mentioned consulting employer reputation is extremely important! First tier includes BBM, more 2nd tiers and also boutigue ones serving specific fields. It's not hard to be offered fully paid MBA at BBM after working 2 yrs and top school MBA programs love you. The offer is very generous and flexible. You sign at dotted line then spend 1.5 -2 years making friends while drinking in H, S, P, C, W…only pass/fail anyway. However, most of young people (>85%) skip it for other exits. The reason is not hard to guess just try if interested…
NG pay is not stellar（CS laughing here) but above average and hourly rate is actually higher than IB (surprise! ), no place other than a bed for 2, 3 nights/wk to spend anyway. Your 5 days are away in 4 star hotels and all expense are paid. WLB is OK and 50 -60hrs/wk is normal with occasional long hours. Work can involve lots of travels and you accumulate points quickly.
You do learn a lot in business, e.g. reading top companies current internal statements and future plans and what to do in a product life cycle, being on corp jet with fortune 10 CEO/COO/CFO listening they share confidential info, Team join 说话的是领头的，小孩子边上听着…Just wonder how many 紫檀檀民 have this experience in life time with understanding they are all experts in everything, haha…This is why most can find exits after 2-3 years.
Finally, they hire lots of interns and give RO. it's a very good entry job for girls, as long as not hate travel.
