选学校不只看名气和排名

昨天著名的生物学家 David Baltimore 去世。看了下关于他的生平。他当年在一众名校里选了 Swarthmore，本科时有机会参与分子生物学的科研，特别是在冷泉港的暑期研究。读博先去了 MIT，但决定转学到 Rockefeller。在 Rockefeller 读博期间就做出了里程碑式的科学发现。博士毕业后先去 MIT 做博后，两年后决定搬去 Salk Institute，然后开始了开挂的研究生涯
