申请明年秋季入学的博士会难很多吗？

昨晚闺蜜跟我聊天，她娃可以申请港科大的直博，因为在系里算牛娃所以把握比较大。原来是想来美国读博，现在看着感觉难度会加大，如果来美国可能只能先自费读研究生，然后再申请博士。小姑娘最后还是想留在美国，那么哪条路好？我感觉是花钱来美国读研究生更好些？
