Does one go ahead with math levels 2 grades above the child's own level? Does the child try to write comprehensive articles, or going to Score! for advanced classes in any subject including science, history or social studies? I probably will be one of the parents waking up in high school and realizing that we are way behind, :-)
I read the book "overachiever" that someone recommended here. It talked about Bethsda, Maryland high school kids. This is a very good public school district, according to friends who live nearby. The junior/senior kids stay up till midnight, which was already incredible...
