That is 100% true. Every school will try their best to find the right mix of students. However, that is taking the best interest of the school, not the best interest of the student.

SO, you must understand why do they offer you the $$. If they have mostly students ranked at top 20% of their classes and your kid ranks #1, that means the school is trying to buy smart kids to blend with those not so smart kids. It is good for the school, but may not be the best for your kid.
