Princeton University allows students to earn advanced placement through outside exams and internal placement tests, covering AP, IB, A-level, and SAT subject scores. This advanced placement can enable students to enter upper-level courses, fulfill language requirements, achieve advanced standing for earlier graduation, and fulfill certain major or certificate requirements. However, it cannot be used to fulfill writing or distribution requirements, reduce course loads, or make up course deficiencies.
