娃需要去做平面几何证明题吗？

这里学校不要求学，也不会考，娃需要在家自己学平几证明题吗？我觉得初中数学最有意思的就是平几证明题。 娃不够聪明去搞数学竞赛，让娃去做证明题，有必要吗
