An explanation that is even understandable to a third grader

This explanantion is elegant, even understandable to a third grader, or at least to whoever who konws fraction.

The weakness is that it is too sensitive to the numbers. Changing to some other fractions, the figure may be messy. Anyway, the figure offers a good illustration.
