诚再问一下新闻专业硕士申请

孩子（本科在另一个英文国家读的，大学非常不错，是新闻和国际关系双学位，因为初中就过去读书了，英语口语写作都很好），目前在国内一家知名政府报纸实习（其实是学习，因为没有工资和不是正式实习录取），准备实习一段时间之后读这边新闻研究生，（因为本科成绩不太理想GPA3.4-3.5), 想用实习来补救一下成绩，以后也没打算回国，想请问申请这边顶尖一点的学校新闻硕士有希望吗？谢谢谢谢！
