I think that teaching the kid how to communicate with

the teachers is crucial. I gave some gifted kids extra homework because those kids talked to me and expressed their desires to learn more difficult staff. As a teacher, I actually like the students who came and requested for extra homework. But I cannot impose different homework without the requests from the students. Also, if I give out extra homework, I expect the students to finish it (some students just request but never finish the homework seriously since it will not affect their grade). Because it takes more extra work to find and grade the extras, I hope that the students appreciate the efforts.
