How competitive are full-ride scholarships?
Full-ride scholarships are extremely competitive and only a very small fraction of college students will earn one. Competition is fierce for full-ride scholarships and even the most impressive college-bound students shouldn’t count on receiving one. According to a 2018 Washington Post article, just 1.5% of undergraduates receive enough funding through scholarships and grants to cover 100% of the cost of attendance.
