HPY 比拼 MS, Chicago

标题是click bait！呵呵。全都是大牛校。在我心中并列第一！

不过想到前面提到 ~~Princeton 的"O" 娃比HM 少。似乎说明P是“less prestigious”, 但是长年排名还不错，可能有是有别的优点吧~~。想谈谈我的想法。

我认为HPY 之所以是常年Big Three, 靠的是他们的三大法宝：Harvard 的Kennedy, Princeton 的 Woody Woo, Yale 的Law。这三个学院让HYP 嵌入了国家机器和国家历史，保证了山顶地位。前几天正好在读Princeton的Eating Club。说Ivy （blue blood 学生的Eating Club）“owns the country”, but Tower (Woody Woo学生聚集的EatingClub) “runs the country”. Princeton 可能数理不错，但不是P在山顶长期停留的关键。

Chicago 是个反面例子，一度可以和HYP 争老大，但最后下行，原因很多，但可能和他非常专注academia和数理，但是缺乏对国家机器有影响的学院有关，无法长期地维持山顶地位。

Stanford 和MIT， 尤其是MIT是近几十年顺科技风快速上升的. 老波士顿人还记得MIT 和RPI, WPI 齐名的时代. 紫檀有人对MIT 试图校院多元化，甚至录小中女都很有意见。我个人认为MIT 其实是为自己能长期发展做的必须工作。而且科技风对学校（MIT）的发展到底是长期还是短期的加持，也拭目以待。
