classmate/friend circle at HS (a STEM school with 60% Asians in Virginia):

Indian background kids, as a group in general, demonstrate much greater non-academic characteristics than Chinese, such as being outgoing, likable, conducting small talks with strangers, taking the initiative, etc.

It's quite sad to see it, but that's what I've seen. No offense--pure personal experience.
