女儿NW ED

小女儿今天收到西北大学McCormick school of engeering and applied science ED (提前录取通知）。这是签了合同，录取就要去的，也正是我们最喜欢的，学校，方向，地理位置都可心，剩下的申请工作都不需要再做，也不必纠结选择了，真是挺省事。变相吹嘘一下自己，和当年被保送上大学的时候有些类似的感觉。LOL。

稍稍总结一下。如果能比较早就知道自己喜欢做的事情，会省事一些。当初孩子知道想学计算机类，有的辅导员说名校的计算机不容易进，可以考虑其他相关专业，以后再转。我们觉得这样有点烦，写申请文章难不成要人格分裂地把不是那么喜欢的专业写成自己的挚爱？孩子们现在很多机会，大可直奔自己喜欢的学校/专业。女儿所有学校都是CS，申请简单很多。高中生很辛苦，课业繁重，加上课外活动，申请上面能顺一点是一点。然后就是考虑如何在那些非常好的州立大学的CS, 和NW ED之间选择，NW CS并非前10。我们的决定是综合多个现实情况，比如学校位置，环境，离家人进些。女孩子，还是舍不得她离得很远。大学是一个成长的过程，可能会遇到生命中的那一半，学业只是一部分。申请大学的过程也挺锻炼人的。
