前情提要：貝貝好傷心，沒被老師選上下年度的舞蹈隊officer。
在失落中，不斷收穫著朋友們的安慰和鼓勵。
一直關心著她的鄰居媽媽，自己也曾是多年的芭蕾舞和學校舞蹈隊員，不久前看了貝貝的春季匯演，對她讚不絕口。得知貝貝沒有選上officer後，第一時間送上安慰，也貼心地分享她自己當年的經驗，還有對貝貝滿滿的鼓勵：
That’s extremely disappointing. I’m shocked. Praying for Becca as she processes this news. I tried out for drill team officer my sophomore year and didn’t make it. Super disappointing. I ended up being glad a year later because I had more fun in HS without all of that responsibility. So it worked out, but it was very sad at the time.
My friends who were officers were pretty stressed out, lots of pressure, and they had to deal with drama of teammates not liking their decisions.
This decision doesn’t change the fact that Becca is an amazing, truly talented dancer. She is a star of the team no matter what role she’s in for sure.
另一家學妹，也是鄰居家，也超甜蜜地送來卡片和cupcakes:
第二天我去學校開舞蹈隊家長會，遇到隊友媽咪。這個女孩更可憐，沒被選上任何職位。我給這媽咪一個抱抱，跟她說貝貝也為了她的女兒惋惜。隊友媽咪回家給我一個短訊：Thank you for the hug this evening! I really needed that! I feel like you're the only one that understands this craziness right now. Hugs to you and Becca! Thinking about ya'll.
我給她回： Hugs to you and Lindsie as well. So hard to see our babies go through disappointments and rejection. But I know they are strong and will come out even better through all of this. Lindsie is a fantastic dancer, and she's so lucky to have such a loving and supportive mommy by her side.
第二天貝貝放學回家告訴我，隊友跟她說，你的媽咪太暖了，安慰到了我和我媽。。。
因為自己的經歷能夠安慰到隊友，也是一種祝福啊。
第三天跟老公在遛狗時，遇到貝貝學姐的媽咪。她跟我說，“貝貝的經歷跟我女兒一模一樣。告訴貝貝，Charlotte當初也是哭得超兇的，但她接下來做service officer那一年，成為她最快樂的一年，因為她真心享受和其他同伴一起服務舞蹈隊員的一點一滴，也鍛煉了她的領導力。” 我聽了真是又感動又開心。是的，我相信，每一朵烏雲都鑲著銀邊啊。
