When flight canceled, you can't find any live being in person or on the phone to rebook and get compensated.

U do get refund but that cheap price won't get you anywhere if u still want to get destination close to original date\time.

Southwest will give out compensation voucher, hotel and have live peoson reboot your flight when they cancel fllight.
