Recently two friends from college years moved to N. Cal.

Both are close to retirement ages. found new jobs in Silicon Valley. 

The one from TX sold their own home, and rental houses; and bought houses in SJ.  

The other one from S. Cal, sold their home, and bought another one in SJ.

TX one said it is too hot/humid in TX, and want to live in a nice weather.

S. Cal one said their children work in SV, so they move.
