英国A-Level于周二放榜，考获A或A*的学生人数大幅上升。伦敦东部基层学校公立学校Brampton Manor Academy 今年的成绩喜出望外，共55名学生成功获牛津或剑桥大学录取，升学牛剑的人数甚至比贵族学校伊顿公学更高。
据悉Brampton Manor Academy 的学生大多为少数族裔，学校提供免费伙食，减轻贫困学生的膳食负担。英国A-Level成绩周二出炉，结果学校有55名学生被牛津或剑桥录取。女学生Nyat Aron-Yohannes于A-Level取得3A成绩，准备前往牛津就读哲学、政治及经济学。她表示，在防疫封城期间无法返校，必须要靠个人毅力坚持温习，幸好最后能得到回报。
另一名女生Susan Hope则将赴剑桥修读教育学，期待未来能在儿童心理学方面发展。她表示：“我本来不想报读剑桥，因为怕被拒绝。但这里读书后想通了，觉得为何其他人可以，我就不可以？”她感激学校的教诲，令她深信怒力就有回报，最终如愿以偿。
据悉，Brampton Manor Academy在2012年开设A-Level班，意在提高少数种裔入读牛津剑桥等精英大学的比率，校方每年招收300至400名中六学生。Brampton Manor Academy于2014年仅有1人获牛津或剑桥录取，但去年去急升至51人。
Brampton Manor Academy今年有350名学生参与A-Level考试，当中便有330人考入罗素联盟（The Russell Group）的大学，包括进入牛津剑桥的55名学生。被视为英国精英摇篮的伊顿公学今年则有48名学生被牛剑录取，较去年大减21名。
