College due to the fact that he is not ready for...: he has no passions for it and he has not been well ready for it academically. He doesn't want to study math. Dose he want to study CS? GPA 3.2 in a community college might indicate that he is likely not ready for rigorous courses in a well respected 4 yrs college.
Might continue to take general courses that can be transferred to a 4 yrs college, and he probably works part-time. He needs to get used to dealing with people. Mostly important, to build up confidence in himself now and then return to college later.
Don't worry too much, it might not be ideal now. But it is not a big deal in a lifetime.
Encourage, encourage, encourage him always.
