几天来一直犹豫普通孩子进一般大学该不该在紫檀露脸。。。。。。一年前因为孩子foreign languge问题曾在高中组咨询过且有几位热心父母给建议，所以作为回馈想分享一下我孩子的经历。简单说：10年级转学，新学校不提供九年级时的语种，只能改，选了中文，没想到11年级开学前学校因为选课的学生太少中文课也没有了，学校不接受网课。年级counselor说大学录取学生会查学校的profile，不是学生自己原因造成的结果不会影响录取，孩子坚信counselor，所以今年就以九年级日语，10年级中文的外语条件开始了大学申请-counselor让在文书里简单解释外语原因，同时她也会在推荐信里提及。申请过程孩子不让参与，但是告知EA一个100名开外的小私立做保底，ED一个离家近的大私立（Vandy）为reach，两个学校都申请FA了，，，，，，，结果EA ED都进了。也许，可能，大概foreign languge对申请竞争力弱的大学没有太大影响。当然我们的经历是给万一出现我们家情况的普通娃父母分享的，毕竟紫檀也许有和我一样爱在紫檀分享别人家牛娃的喜悦的普通娃妈呢：）））
