National Merit Finalist Package Fall 2021
Students recognized as a National Merit Finalist by the National Merit Scholar Corporation who are admitted, provide a copy of their official National Merit Finalist letter via email to scholarships@ua.edu, and list The University of Alabama as their college of choice with the National Merit Scholar Corporation before May 1, 2021 will receive:
- Value of tuition for up to five years or 10 semesters for degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate or law school studies
- Four years of undergraduate on-campus housing at regular room rate* (based on assignment by Housing and Residential Communities)
- $3,500 per year undergraduate Merit Scholarship stipend for four years.**
- One-time undergraduate allowance of $2,000 for use in summer research or international study (after completing one year of study at UA)
$2,000 undergraduate book scholarship ($500 per year for four years)

TEP 2: Qualify For An Automatic Merit Scholarship
First-time freshmen admitted before May 1, have a qualifying composite score on the ACT or total score on the SAT by the end of February, and have at least a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA through December of the senior year will be eligible for the following automatic merit-based scholarships:
