To give, or to get

One makes her active.

The other makes her passive.

In one, she seeks the intrinsic value.

In the other, she seeks the derived value. (She did not see much of it, thus the indifference.)

She needs to be reminded to give more.

Before she can do that, she has to be grateful, not necessarily toward you, but the fact that how fortunate she is to live here and now.
