Misconception about pre-med

Believe it or not, majority pre-med students select pre-med is because, once, they declare their intend, their path and course choices are set by others, they do not have to make any other major decision for now, they have very little wiggle room. Unfortunately, three out of four pre-med students change their mind after the first year and half in college.  So, do not base your choice of college primarily on "she wants to study medicine".
