上次那个得新冠又痊愈的加拿大老中写的关于他纽约亲戚的情况。https://bbs.wenxuecity.com/znjy/4901786.html
I was speaking with family in NYC and they are all infected with COVID-19 :(( Most are just normal sick, but one has been in bed for than a week. They've been hiding it from us :(
Anyway, they've tried to get medical help and were told that if they can breath, they should not be coming over. This is what healthcare is like now. So the numbers cases that you see, are simply the number of cases that were bad enough to be seen.
Anyway, I told them that they got good advice and that they should watch out carefully for signs of deterioration. But otherwise stay put and ride it out. They'll probably get sicker going to a hospital than staying at home...but this still sucks!
The paramedics went there today after I wrote that post. One person is very ill. My niece opened the door and told them that everyone in the house is sick and for their protection, they should give her masks to distribute or to at least put on the patient.
They said, sorry, we don't have any masks - and walked in.
The numbers you are seeing on the dashboard are BS. They only represent the people who were so sick they had to go to hospitals. Everyone else is told to stay home and slug it out. No tests, reporting, or medical care.
