前天单位里开会，碰到其他部门的一个英国人

他说：我俩孩子在游说，要看Super Bowl, 要晚点上床睡觉, 我们在考虑。

我问：俩孩子几岁？

他答：一个13，一个10.

我想：Bloody hell!  You chose to raise your children in the United States of A.  This is our national party.  You are going to shut out your children from an authentic American experience and let them spectate at their friends' Super Bowl conversations at school!  Are you out of your mind?

当然不能这么说，过滤了几下，从嘴巴里出来的大意是这样的： Well, I am kind of on your kids' side.  The game starts early enough.  They won't miss much sleep.  旁边其他同事表示支持。

他说：哦，那好吧，就让他们看球吧。

如果我是虎妈，对他说：看什么球？推他们做题，这俩孩子就遭殃了。

寓意：开会时和人聊天的对象需谨慎选择。
