说说Renaissance Technologies

RenTech可能是这三十年来最成功的Hedge Fund, 但同时也可能是最神秘的公司。

从透露到外面的信息来看，它的运作模式大概如下：

Quants design the trading systems, and traders execute the orders.

所以，RenTech里起主导作用的是Quants，这和Investment Banks(Sell-side)里的Quants很不一样，这也就是为什么RenTech职员里三分之一有博士学位。

当然RenTech不代表所有的Hedge Funds(Buy-side), 但它至少也是标杆性的公司和大家努力看齐的公司.


再说说RenTech职员的薪水和奖金, 这些都是保密的, 但前几年有个职员和Rentech打官司, 法庭文件上就透露了一点点信息.

这位职员是斯坦福Ph.D, 在RenTech工作了二十年, 后来的七/八年都是work from home. 三/四年前, 他在RenTech的base salary是$251K, 但大头在奖金. 在RenTech, 奖金是按照职员积累了多少points来分配的, 这位职员积累了12500 points, 法庭文件说这相当于"millions of dollars annually."
