孩子申请研究生，如何填写财务状况

孩子想读硕士，我希望她自己申请奖学金或助学金或贷款，而不是依赖我们家长的资助。在填写财务状况时，是否可以只填写孩子本身的收入和存款，而不填父母的情况？有何利弊？
