紫檀在申请summer program 时存在一个很严重的误区，也许

让很多孩子失去了一些重要的机会。就是只要见到“especially students from historically underrepresented groups in the field”，就觉得小中没有机会。其实不然，这句话只是鼓励URM去申请，其实进去以后经常会发现，小中比例依然很高。建议高中生家长们，如果孩子对某一个program 感兴趣，有时间就大胆去申请，机会再小也还是有，不申请就一点机会都没有。申请的过程也是一种成长的过程。
