you are right, first reduce work study and loan, then reduce uni. grant,
last reduce family's. My D got more scholarships than work and loan, HV's financial aid letter clearly indicated that $2500 NMS was reduced from their grant. What this guy said? "上周才得到National Merit Scholars $2500/year (1070 out of 16000 semifinalists),Harvard不把它算在Faculty Scholarship里,也就是我们少付$2500". I don't know how this guy figured out 1070 renewable $2500 scholarship program. And NMS informed Uni. HS and student 4 weeks ago. I believe that he got information from their Web and his friend.
