In my daughter's HV case:
Financial aid award consists of
HV Faculty Scholarship (very generous but need based) and Self Help Offer (only $3650 Total Job and Loan, and up to you to determine how you would like to have it distribued between job and/or loan, the loan part will repay after 6 or 9 months graduation depend on different laons you got.)
Family contribution includes parental contribution and student contrubution (only $1850 like summer job income)
Together will be total budget($45000) including tuition&fee, room&board, personal expenses and travel allowance.
